Formal Education

In 2003, the Management Board decided that SUPPORT should enter into the formal Vocational Training Education for 10+2 (Intermediate Level). SUPPORT was successful in getting sanction and approval from the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) and Government of Andhra Pradesh. SUPPORT established the institution under the St. Daniel’s Vocational Junior College. SUPPORT is offering various vocational programmes for 10th passed students.

Women
Considering the fact that women have the power to excel in given fields ,with a main motto to improve young women’s welfare & social status SUPPORT created community based family support centers by imparting some specialized income generating skills training programmes. SUPPORT has trained a total of about 500 women in one session (April, may, June) in a course of 3 months.

The various courses are :-
1. Fabric painting
2. Chemical products
3. Saree rolling
4. Saree polishing & dry cleaning
5. Embroidery
6. Beautician course
7. Jute crafts
8. Bouquet making
9. Paper bags making
10. Juices , jellies & jam
11. Herbal cosmetics
12. Candle making
13. Chalk piece making

>> Creating formal & non formal training infrastructure
>> Emphasis on value based education resulting in character building
>> These courses promote self employment & self reliance
>> Inculcate the values of entrepreneurship and dignity of labour
>> Creates necessary mechanisms for providing low cost credit for self-employment
>> Improves young women’s welfare & social status
>> Creates a community based family support centers with innovation concepts
>> Skill up gradation & other support programmes

What we have achieved is really a technology of training that given a balanced development to the individuals releasing their potential as community developers.
